The acting sisters Olivia de Havilland and Joan Fontaine are two of my very favourite actresses. I've seen only a couple of their films, but they were fantastic in all of them! They're also of the last living legends. Does anybody like them out there?:)

I recommend 'Rebecca' from Joan's films. It was the first film of hers I ever saw and she took my breath away. She was so nice, sympathetic, beautiful as the second Mrs. De Winter. She gave one of the finest performances ever in this one. The film itself is great, too, my personally favourite of Hitchcock's.

I agree. Rebecca is my favorite Hitchcock too. It's hard to pick a favorite because I've enjoyed every Hitchcock film I've seen, but the one truly stands out. I thought Joan Fontaine and Laurence Olivier both did wonderful jobs. Joan was nominated for an Oscar in this role. She won an Oscar for her role in Hitchcock's Suspicion which I have yet to see.

Melphleg, I think Suspicion is one is one of Hitchcock's weaker films. The story is not very well written and the ending is silly in my opinion, but well, it's still ok and deserves a watch because of Joan. So if you like Hitchcock's films and Joan, don't miss it:)
